Our Story

The standard military double-bunk was four feet, eight inches tall—just short enough to make a grown man duck his head every time he sat up.

When my big brother returned home, the uniform went into the closet, but the habit of standing tall remained. In a cramped, shared bedroom, however, every stoop of his shoulders felt like a silent subtraction. He had managed logistics across oceans, managed teams in high-stakes environments, and now he was back in our childhood bedroom, carefully navigating around a shared dresser.

I saw it not in what he said, but in how he paused before entering the room. Dignity doesn't usually disappear in a single moment; it slowly erodes when a person who has carried heavy responsibilities suddenly finds themselves without a space of their own.

It started without a blueprint, just a handful of rough-hewn timber and a garage floor cleared of clutter. The initial idea wasn't to start a company or make a grand statement, but simply to build something solid—a place where veterans could exchange experiences, thrive, and the freedom to be authentic.
